COVID Protocols

My commitments and expectations regarding COVID-19

Due to the ongoing issue with Coronavirus, I have read through guidelines for safe practice issued by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), the National Associations Strategic Partnership (NASP) and also Public Health England (PHE).

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have about these safety measures.

WHAT I WILL DO

I will clean and prepare the car immediately before each lesson. All touch points such as door handles, the steering wheel, the interior mirror, the handbrake, the seatbelts, the seat adjuster levers, control switches will be wiped clean and sanitised with anti bacterial fluids.

I will wear a face covering.

I will phone you shortly before each lesson to ask you:

If you have had any coronavirus symptoms within the last 7 days.
If you have been in close contact with anyone who has displayed coronavirus symptoms within the last 14 days.
To wash your hands thoroughly immediately before each lesson.
If you feel fit and well enough to take your lesson.

WHAT I ASK FROM STUDENTS

I will ask my students to:

Supply and wear a face covering unless you have a medical reason for not being able to. (I would need some proof of this).
Wear trousers and closed shoes (i.e. not sandals).
Meet me by the car for the lesson
Not bring bags or unnecessary items.
Keep your mobile phone (On silent or vibrate) in your pocket and not on the dashboard or in car pockets.
Remember to wash your hands thoroughly immediately prior to the lesson.

Please be advised that I will be obliged to forward your contact details to the NHS Track and Trace programme should I develop symptoms of coronavirus.

I am also happy for you to pass on my details in the same circumstances, if you develop symptoms. Please also be advised that a driving test can only take place if you agree to this beforehand.
